We had a great time at our first camp of the 2014 season!

First we had to set up our tents.

October Camp, Post 2

As part of their hunting and gathering at camp, a couple of the cubs decided to collect worms.  After washing them and roasting them over a fire, they decided to eat them with ketchup, salt and pepper.  Many of the cubs tried them, but not everyone.  It was by no means required or pushed on anyone!  The leaders were not the instigators!

October Camp, post 1

1st Palmerston Cubs had their fall camp-out this weekend.  They enjoyed a one night camp-out in the most amazing weather ever.  It was perfect for camping!   Theme of the camp-out was "Hunters and Gathers".  The cubs had to hunt for their lunch.  Some food items had been planted by leaders, others we found growing in the wild.  Stay-tuned over the next few days as I get pictures up.
